Our Unique Community
Posted by Brandi Wilson
Hey ladiess… I’m back! Seems like I’ve had a little extended break blogging here, but I’ve loved walking through “Take Your Man to Jesus” with you guys.
I know you’ve heard us mention that Leading and Loving It focuses on three areas… To connect, to equip, and to encourage other pastors’ wives and women in ministry. A few weeks back I was delighted to get a face to face meeting with a longtime Leading and Loving It reader, Vanessa Brown. We were also joined by Vanessa’s friend Angie, who I have no doubt will no become a devoted L&L It reader! Right, Angie??
Vanessa’s husband, Michael, is campus pastor at New Spring’s Florence location. Vanessa and I have known each other “virtually” for a while. We’ve emailed, twittered, and read each other’s blogs but nothing compares to actually getting to meet one another face to face. During meetings like this I’m always struck with the fact that if it wasn’t for social networking this relationship wouldn’t exist. Our discussion covered church staff, family time, encouraging your husband, schedules, Angie’s cute red necklace and basically just about anything else we could fit into an hour conversation… I really don’t think either of us stopped to take a breath!
It was truly Leading and Loving It in action… We connected, we encouraged, and we helped equip each other for the next season of ministry. So I guess what I wanted to say was Thank you to each of you. You help create a unique community here where we partner together to offer a safe environment where we join together for the same cause. You guys are the best!

This community is such a lifeline for us! Thanks so much for working hard to keep it up! Vane has become a good friend to me, too, through this network of women! Can’t wait to see you all face to face in May!

The few minutes of reading the L&L post has become a highlight of my day. So thankful that it flows over into Twitter FB and blogs. I am thankful for my virtual pw and ministry friends that I have come to know because of this connection. Looking forward to meeting in person one day. But love that we can continue to get to know one another better virtually.
Blessings Julie
