What’s Your Flavor … Design
We have serious love for HGTV at our house.
We watch House Hunters International and yell at those people to make sure they choose the right flat in London or condo in the Caribbean.
We watch Holmes on Homes and witness that cover-all clad guy fixing everyone’s houses.
But my favorites are all of the design shows. I’m not even very picky. I just like to watch them and get ideas … although I am a little partial to David Bromstead.
My design style is comfy, modern with a mid-century twist so to speak. Think Crate & Barrel-ish. And I’m currently surrounded by browns, blues and creamy whites. In fact, you’ll get to see my living room during the JustONE Conference. While this isn’t my house, it is actually my couch and tables … so, there you go.
How about you? What’s your design style? And if you watch HGTV, what’s your favorite show?

I love hgtv, and its the channel I watch the most. Took fashion merchandising and interior decorating in school. My favorite show is Candace Olsen’s “Devine Design”. She could decorate my home any day. Right now I am loving a mixture of traditional cottage furniture with some more contemporary peices. Can you tell I could talk about this subject all day? LOL

We don’t have cable, boo-hoo…but when we visit our parents I always watch HGTV! We are probably more comfy, modern also. We don’t necessarily have a style, but we love warm tones, colors, and pieces.

Oh, I love HGTV! Picking just one favorite is hard. I love Design Star, Ask Genevieve…and of course Color Splash.
I’m actually trying to define my style right now because we’re moving and I kind of got off track in our current house. I LOVE warm spicy colors with pops of something bright and if you could mix casual/farmhouse/vintage/urban all together that might be me. haha

Oh this is such a fun question and post.
So this is one of my passions and our style is a mix of modern, lots of midcentury pieces, orange and brown accents, but we also have a rustic element with high beam wood ceilings and rustic brick and wood accents everywhere…
I love HGTV and mostly the shows like selling New York and 9 by design on Bravo which showcases a design family with lots of kids running a design company.
My fav website is designspongeonline.com, shows great ideas and before and after pics of furniture overhauls, also they have a feature called sneak peeks where they give photo tours of homes..
Ok i’ve said enough!

Candice Olsen, Divine Design is awesome! Simple, elegant, chic room designs and I love the way she dresses, and her personality.
I cry every time Candice does “the reveal” with a couple (silly, huh?) because I love the reaction of the woman who is getting the room makeover.
That look of happiness, joy, and geniune delight is priceless.
And the cameras and background music do an excellent job of capturing the moment too!
So glad to find out that you like HGTV too!

With out a doubt House Hunters is my favorite show on HGTV. I prefer the US one over the International version. We play along as a family – each one putting in their guess for the final pick. I also enjoy David Bromstead and would love to go shopping with him.
Our style is sort of “Pottery Barn” with a few antiques thrown in here and there. And I love colors like gold, sage green, merlot red, chocolate brown etc..
